Each base comes with a plastic insert that securely holds the pilot information card in place. The bases also include the nubs required for the movement templates used in the game.

The template has small nubs to line up with the Omni-Stand and stock versions of the X-wing bases. The edges line up with the firing arcs on the pilot cards.

The sphere-magnet stands on the X-Wings look great! How complicated is the installation process for these?
Are you going to offer these X-Wing Accessories flight stands through Warpath Distribution?
Converting the stock X-wing miniatures to Omni-Stands is easy. Get a pair of flush cutters and snip the plastic peg off the miniature. File it smooth with a small file. Then rough up the top of the peg with the file. Glue it in place with epoxy or super glue. The mounts screw into the rods or they can be connected to the magnets after you add the Sphere magnet Add-on to the rods.
@Michael Unfortunately, We do not offer distribution of Omni-Stand products through War-Path, Production problems prevent it from being economical.
So what would I need plus these bases to mount other figures on them? You guys have a ton of stands and connectors and all. I have a TON of various Star Wars fightercraft in rough scale to the legit ones and these bases could let me build up one HELL of a fleet very quickly. (While still supporting FFG and the game with a decent amount of ship purchases for new templates and the fact their ships are SO PRETTY...)
The bases pictured consist of:
Omni-Stand Mounting Peg
Omni-Stand 1.5" Rod
Omni-Stand Star Fighter Base
Omni-Stand Sphere Magnet Add-on.
The sphere magnet add-on is optional but it adds a lot to the game. You only need enough bases and rods to cover the max amount of ships you will play with at one time. You will need a Mounting Peg for each miniature. We are working on a tutorial but legal issues are making it interesting.
On the ordering page it says that rods and pegs are not included. Is that true?
Thanks!

Is there any product planned that don't require this step to use the Omni Base?
@tim No rods or mounts are included. It is just the base. This allows you to customize them to your needs.
@Mark I have a few ideas but nothing promising at this time. You could just use magnets but that would still require gluing the magnet to the bottom of the peg and using our small magnet add-ons.. I assume the idea is to keep compatibility with the original stands.
